Organising your media. Multitouch Style.
This is the second of a couple of videos I have made demoing the Amoeba Multitouch table. This one shows the capabilities or organising Photos and Video on the table.

The first video displaying the Amoeba table and its Multitouch capabilities.

What this shows is how my finger is tracked by the camera and then the tbeta software is used to tweak the blogs (fingers) to make them stand out more and to get a clear ID from them.
Very exciting stuff. I finally got the projector working and doing what it was designed to do. Just need to get this working in tandem with the blob and fiducial maker detection. It looks so good.

Got the surface and the wood now. Frame building has commenced.
Now with the frame in place I can get to work on positioning everything inside it and have each part in place to make sure this whole thing is actually going to work.
Currently testing interaction on a very makeshift table. I am doing it this way until all my bits and pieces come together. I am waiting for my 6mm perspex surface and my wood to arrive.
This actually works really well except for the one major part, the projector. As I cannot get the height required I am going blind with the project. I can’t wait until I have all the pieces in place with the projector working.
As promised here is a timelapse video of me modifying the camera. This video is also available in High Definition over at Vimeo, looks sweet full screen http://www.vimeo.com/4390412
Here are the images from the camera modification that I did to help me filter out incandescent light and only allow infra red light through. I also made a video of this which I will post soon.
Managed to overcome a rather large issue with the table. By using some simple mirrors I am able to lower the height of the table overall but a substantial amount. This will make the table a little nicer to look at and much easier to play with.
Working on some mocks for the User Interface of the Amoeba Project. These some some of the functions that can take place while using the table.
