So recently while trying to streamline my life I decided to be on the look out for a new text editor. One that had all the text highlighting I am used too in Dreamweaver but something that doesn’t have such an identity crisis that Dreamweaver has (where it doesn’t know if it wants to be a pro app or one for noobs to play about in). Well I finally came across a sexy, lightweight alternative. Its called Coda, and no its not new or anything but I certainly had never really heard of, or looked in to it. But its basically awesome. Its fast and when you please CMD+S to save your work it auto uploads its. This is exactly what I have been looking for.

I think that it will take a while before I am fully comfortable with it but I know its a step in the right direction.

Everyone who does any form of online programming need to check this out.

Just finished up doing the setup diagrams for the ambitious timeclock project. So if you have two webcams, a Teleo Making Things kit, and a custom built Timeclock you can enjoy the project to its fullest. Otherwise you will have to make do with standard on screen slider and mouse interactions.

Friday seems very close indeed.

So while doing so ground work for a game I am building I decided to modify the simple Breakout game to have a little twist.

There is only two levels so you could only call it a demo really. Oh and you must have a microphone if you want to stand a chance.

As part of a project I am working on with Ren we are using a clock to as an interface to control stuff on Flash. We have been tirelesly looking for a suitable alarm clock that would house the electronics that power the interface. We have been unlucky so far in actually finding one. So I decided to go with the back up donated by Heather.

Its a little bit pink but I think we can make this work. I will post more on this project once its finished. Its a little bit out there but uses some cool technology to power it.

While constructing a ‘virtual space’ today Ren realised that he could utilise the power of two webcams to gain back some of the vision he has been missing out on.

So we got another line put in at work. Future proofing I guess.

I think thats its about time I trashed this place and then put it back together. I think that it deserves it.

I turned up to work the other day to find this very strange device on my desk. Its really odd as it makes this noise every 108 seconds and if I don’t flick the switch something weird happens. Anyone know what it is?
