I can’t believe that I have made it through my second year of my degree. Technically I don’t know if I will progress through to the next year or not but I have no worries in the work I produced this year and have all the confidence in the world that I will be back for the last year.

Its scary to think that in such a short period of time everything I have been working for will be over. Finished. To be honest with you if this country didn’t have such a bias towards people with qualifications then I would have never entertained the idea of studying for a degree in this field. Everything I know I taught myself, or more recently from some of the amazingly talented people who I study with. I can honestly say that I haven’t been taught one thing since I started university. This would be a massive shame if it wasn’t for the fact that what this degree has given me is Time. It has let me have the time to go further with my own personal interests in my chosen topic than I could have otherwise. I know I owe a lot of what I have taught myself to the time this course has bought me.

Right now I am desperately trying to think of something that I can work on in my final year. It needs to be big enough to last the whole year and complex enough to challenge me. But it certainly needs to be achievable by one person. I am taking suggestions so please drop me an email ( scott at fourleaves dot co dot uk) or just leave a comment on here.

I will be working hard all summer with a few exceptions of which are both musical excursions. The first being next months Glastonbury Festival which has become a large part of me and my closest friends yearly rituals. The second is a trip to Berlin that me and Heather are taking to see Radiohead. This also fits in nicely with our 3 years of awesomeness, so we are taking the opportunity to have a little break away and staying over there for 4 nights. Im looking forward to both of them as I know that they will be amazing.
