My name is Scott Hargroves. I create things out of pixels, mainly for the web, but sometimes just for kicks. Like when I built a Multitouch table in my spare time. I do other stuff too, like making short films, taking photos and sometimes sending the odd tweet.

What have I done so far?

21 Feb

Okay so 50 minutes ago I turned 22. Although on the surface this is not a substantial age of any sorts it is old enough for me to realise I am no longer 12. In fact I am a whole decade away from such an age. With this feeling I decided to make a short list of what I have achieved so far in my life. Okay here is goes:

  1. I was born in Hamilton, New Zealand.
  2. At the age of 3 I made the move to the United Kingdom with my family
  3. At the age of 11 I saw Radiohead headline Glastonbury festival on TV. This changed my life and gave me the goal to see Radiohead headline Glastonbury.
  4. At the age of 15 I made my first website. With the help from Matthew Thompson I soon owned and operated a online Role-play game around wrestling. With members around the country and 3 staff. I was on top of the world.
  5. At the age of 16 I started a National Diploma in Media Production
  6. At the age of 16 I became a team leader for an outdoor activities company called Venture out where I worked with other instructors to provide some outdoor greatness for people of all ages.
  7. At the age of 17 I made the promotional items for Venture Out including there online presence.
  8. I finally completed the task of watching Radiohead headline Glastonbury.
  9. At the age of 18 I received my National Diploma in Media Production and decided I needed a break from learning.
  10. I passed my driving test the first time.
  11. Traveled through New York, Los Angeles and New Zealand for 4 months with Bradley Innes and logged our every move with a travel log. Which has now been published (well only 2 copies but still published).
  12. I met the most amazing person in 2005 at the age of 19. She is Heather.
  13.  At the age of 20 I got accepted into a range of Universities. I chose to come to Hull School of Art and Design mainly due to the fact that my parents were moving to New Zealand at the time.
  14. I moved into my own house with Heather where we live.
  15. At the age of 21 I start a job as the Site Manager for an online company who specialise in Luxury bathroom items.
  16. At the age of 22 I have just reached the half way mark of my university course in Interactive Multimedia. This semester (Three) I have gained 2 firsts and one two one. I am happy that I can do what I love for a Uni course.

I think thats a decent size list.  I would love to see what other peoples Achievement list would look like. If you do one let me know in the comments below.

Now it's your turn
